My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My foster writes: Meet Young Tucker, a charming 9-year-old mix breed with the cutest smile that will melt your heart! Young Tucker is a true gentleman on walks and follows cues exceptionally well. Young Tucker, is looking for a loving forever home where he can share his warmth and happiness with his new family. Could Young Tucker be the perfect addition to your home? Come meet this sweet boy and see his adorable smile in person!

All pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered when appropriate.

My personality and skills:

Young Tucker grew up in a home surrounded by family. He is an older gentleman that plays gently and really enjoys hanging out with people. According to his family, his favorite treats are beef jerky and ham.

My ideal home:

Young Tucker is currently living in a crate in the hallway of our busy Manhattan care center. Still, he manages to always wag his tail when approached and is eager for pets. His ideal home would be with someone who is relaxed and enjoys slow walks, gentle playing and plenty of naps.

Good with other pets?

Although Young Tucker has not lived with pets in the past, he has shown respect to other dogs while in the care center. Since ACC does not do cat-testing in care, we are unsure of how he would be with cats.

Good with kids?

Young Tucker lived with kids and teenagers growing up.

How is my health?

Young Tucker has some allergies that have responded well to treatment in care. He hasn't been neutered and due to his age will most likely remain unaltered.

How are my leash manners?

Young Tucker has great leash manners, especially when treats are involved.

What is my behavior assessment?

Young Tucker has been assessed at Level 1 - no major challenges, has shown a high level of tolerance, and is suitable for almost any adopter.
