My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Piper is a gorgeous mixed-breed girl who we think might have Pit Bull Terrier and Weimaraner in her. She is a sweet, young pup who mostly prefers her people over other dogs; she is, however, making progress being around other dogs and, with an experienced bully breed adopter, MAY do well living with another dog when appropriately and slowly introduced. Otherwise, we think she would be equally as happy being your one and only. Piper is a solid but petite girl who is energetic, athletic, and strong on a lead. On her most recent outings to the C&O Canal towpath, volunteers report that she enjoyed meeting new people and demonstrated no reactivity to other dogs or bikes. All Piper wants is a chance for someone to love her. We promise, she will love you back unconditionally.

Piper has completed her training through the Happy Hounds Prison Dog Program at Roxbury Correctional in Hagerstown MD and has been successful with house training, crate training, leash walking, and other basic commands.
