My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1. Escedi thrives with classic TLC. She responds well with ear and butt rubs. She will just look at you as if she just won the lotto! She loves to sleep, eat and cuddle.
She did great on a leashed walk, although distance is not in the books for her anymore and she seems to be thriving doing her slow laps around the backyard.
She loves food and treats, but by no means aggressive to either. Just generally happy with whatever is put in front of her!

2. I have quite a few plants in my backyard and there is one with large leaves. She goes into slower motion and lets the leaves coast over her back. She will do this multiple times! Just in and out. (Video below)
Classic tail wag always lets me know if I’m understanding what she needs. We are only day 3 together, but she seems to find ways to communicate. I’ve only heard her bark once and that was to go outside, otherwise the only other noise she makes is the classic pitty low level snores.

3. Eat, sleep, cuddle and she’s one happy camper!

4. Still figuring this out! She’s thirteen years old and day one she needed assistance with my deck stairs and even help to get to the grass. She slept most of the entire first day. Day 2 she walked the yard and then waited for me to help her hindlegs up the stairs. Day 3 she did the stairs this morning on her own with little trouble! She also made multiple walking laps in the yard today! Just taking her morning stroll.

5. Escedi is sharing space with another old soul who’s significantly smaller than her. They are both thirteen. She has just molded into the routine, although she does demand just as much cuddles as my pup. No food aggression. Enjoys a treat, but takes it very kindly.
She did see other dogs through my fence and on our only walk and it didn’t seem to phase her. If she’s awake, she wags her tail and just hopes you give her some pets! Doorbell didn’t seem to trigger anything.

6. She’s your shadow when she’s awake.

7. Escedi has mostly been a couch potato! She did rest on the big doggie bed for the first time. Comfort really is her goal. A home with few stairs may be best as she is an old gal.

8. Escedi thrives with classic TLC. She responds well with ear and butt rubs. She will just look at you as if she just won the lotto! She loves to sleep, eat and cuddle. She did great on a leashed walk, although distance is not in the books for her anymore and she seems to be thriving doing her slow laps around
