My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.

Meet Jax: Your New Best Friend and Cuddle Buddy! Are you searching for a sweet, lovable, and downright adorable companion? Look no further-Jax is here to steal your heart! Weighing in at a lovable 65 pounds, this handsome boy is all about spreading joy and cuddles. Jax is a social butterfly who makes friends wherever he goes. Whether he's meeting new people or other dogs on his daily walks around Capitol Hill, his warm personality shines through. He's a total cuddle bug who loves nothing more than snuggling up next to you for some quality bonding time. This delightful pup is also quite the food lover, which makes training a breeze. Jax already knows how to "sit" and "shake," and he's eager to learn more tricks with a few tasty treats. His playful side is evident in his love for stuffed animals and chew toys-he has a special fondness for those and even enjoys a good piece of hardened yak cheese. Jax is a fan of his daily walks, usually covering about three miles, with one during the morning stroll and two during an afternoon jaunt. He might get a little excited when he spots a squirrel, but he's making great progress with his leash manners, thanks to some tasty incentives. His ideal home would be one where he gets lots of attention, exercise, and of course, plenty of cuddles. If you're looking for a loving, squishy-faced furry friend to brighten your days and join you on adventures, Jax is ready to be your new best buddy. Contact us today to meet this charming guy and see if he's the perfect fit for your family!

Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.

** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. We appreciate your understanding and patience. **
