Hi friends! Trixie here! What's a gorgeous girl like me still doing here in the shelter? Good question! Answer - I have no clue! I surrendered to the shelter with my brother Taz because we didn't get along with the kitty that was in our home with us. I am such a sweet girl, would do well with kids that can respect my space when I get overwhelmed, and am pretty mellow considering I am a mix of two high-energy breeds! Taz and I are a bonded pair because we love each other so, so much and are pretty well-behaved when we are together! We love running in the yard together and play-wrestling every chance we get! We would love to find a home that is willing to have twice the fun and adopt us both! We know it would be asking a lot, but we would repay you with all the love and fun you can get! Could I be a good fit for you? Ask to meet me here at the shelter!

HSSC places animals on a first come, first serve basis. After an animal that is available for adoption has been met with, the animal’s name can be put on an application. Animals that are applied for must be adopted the same day or within 24 hours of the animal being placed on the adoption application. Exceptions will be made if any animal needs a medical procedure, but then will need to be adopted within 24 hours of being cleared from that procedure. HSSC reserves the right to accommodate alternate timelines for special needs/behavioral issue animals.
It is the potential adopter's responsibility to communicate with their landlord to contact HSSC for approval or to provide documentation stating permission within 24 hours of application submission.
It is also the potential adopter's responsibility to produce a current rabies certificate for their current dog(s) to conduct a dog to dog meet and greet within 24 hours of application submission.
