My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mustang!

Mustang is a 3-year-old Hound mix with a beautiful white and tan brindle coat that makes him truly one of a kind. This gentle and loving boy is in search of a forever home where he can feel safe and secure. Mustang is a sensitive soul who is afraid of fast movements and loud noises. Because of his gentle nature, he would thrive in a calm and peaceful environment. He needs a patient and understanding family who can provide him with the reassurance and stability he craves. Mustang`s ideal home would have children aged 12 and up, who can respect his need for a quieter atmosphere. A fenced-in yard would be perfect for Mustang, giving him a safe space to explore and enjoy the outdoors without feeling overwhelmed. Despite his fears, Mustang has a heart full of love to give. Once he feels comfortable, he becomes incredibly affectionate and enjoys spending quality time with his humans. He loves snuggling on the couch and taking leisurely walks in the park. If you’re ready to offer Mustang the safe and loving home he deserves, come meet this handsome boy and let him become a cherished member of your family! Please note Mustang is currently residing in a foster home and is not available for same day meet and greets. If you are interested in learning more about Mustang or scheduling a meet and greet, please email the foster team at foster@cuyahogacounty.us today!

Adoption Questionnaire

Before you can spend time with a dog, there is a brief questionnaire that you will need to fill out. Our staff will review these questions with you in order to help you decide which dog is the right fit for you, your family, and your lifestyle. This information is confidential and will be used only to assist our staff in determining the best possible placement. Please spend the time necessary to make the best possible decision for you AND the dog you may adopt.
