Take the Pet Home
Hi! My name is Riley and I am about 3 years old. I am a sweet boy looking for a quiet home and a family to love me. I was originally adopted from Pet Pantry as a kitten, but was recently returned because my previous family was moving into a smaller place and I couldn't go with them. I was very nervous and scared about this change, but with a lot of patience from staff and volunteers, I am gaining back my confidence and trust. I love attention and can be a great lap cat. I love getting pets and chin scratches and I will show you my belly and make "air biscuits" when I am happy.
I do have a history of struvite crystals in my urine. The folks here have me eating a special food called CD Multicare and I like it. Pet Pantry's medical director, Dr. Jen, recommends I stay on this food after I'm adopted and until I have an appointment with my new veterinarian. Then working with my doctor it can be decided if I should stay on this food or make a change. And don't worry, Pet Pantry will send you home with some of this special food while waiting for our first family vet appointment. Also, I'm on a medication called Reconcile. This medication has helped me relax while here at Pet Pantry. This is something else to talk to my new veterinarian about because I may be able to wean off once I'm in my new forever home.
I am neutered, microchipped, and up to date on my vaccines. I am available for adoption at the Pet Pantry’s main facility, 26 Millersville Road, Lancaster. If you think I may be the purrfect match for your family please fill out an adoption application! Applications are available at our location as well as online at petpantrylc.org. From there, our adoption coordinator will be in touch!
