Say hello to Jack Daniels, JD for short! JD is an approximately three-year-old, 13-pound Chihuahua mix, available for adoption through Chi Town Rescue. JD has quite the story. He and four of his (presumed) siblings, were abandoned in a kennel in a parking lot, late at night. A good samaritan who was out walking their dog found the kennel and brought the five dogs to rescue. JD has warmed up the fastest out of all the dogs and is the first to be officially ready for adoption. JD barks and is avoidant with new people, but with those he knows and trusts, he has decided laps and pets are where it's at. In fact, he's working hard on his official "Stage Five Clinger" Certification! ;-) JD loves to be near you (preferably in your lap) and will give you kisses once he decides you're his pal. He is not leash trained yet, but is willing to work on that in his forever home. We are sure that just like with the pets, JD will discover one day how awesome walks and adventures are! JD does well with other small dogs he's met and could potentially do well with your dog(s) at home too. He is looking for a home with no small children, that will be patient and loving, and allow him to discover new things on his terms. Do you think you could be that family? Email us at chitownrescue@gmail.com for more info/meet and greet. JD's adoption fee includes neuter surgery, microchip, vaccinations up to date, and Rabies certificate.
