My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mable

5 YO

52 Pounds

Kid Friendly

Crate Trained

Fostered in Maple Valley, WA

Hi, I’m Mable! My foster says I could make a fortune if I opened a kissing both. I think I may offer my services to the rescue for a fundraiser. Kissing is my favorite thing to do, it is my love language. Doing zoomies in the back yard is my second favorite activity. When I wear out I have to drink some water and take a nap in my kennel, it is the life, a routine like this that involves napping, you can’t go wrong. I love my people, so when I can see you, even from my crate, I am very happy, I don’t care to be left alone. I am learning to enjoy the car rides, mostly because that way I am with my people. I am getting better all the time and have made great progress jumping in and out. I am very food motivated so it makes learning all the new things very easy like walking on a leash, and it is helping put on some healthy weight. My foster parents have me confused with a cat and have taught me to do my business in the gravel part of the back yard, it works though, I have nice grass to play in with their 4-year-old grandson. I am very gentle with everyone especially with kids and my toys, I really enjoy kids, but may need a little more sniff time with the new adults I meet. A quick sniff of your hand will help me trust you. I am a very happy and friendly gal, my little tail wiggles all the time and my face will light up any room. I am not sure about other dogs, so I need more time to get used to being around them, slow and calm setting introductions may help me make friends with others. I am looking for a family that will continue my training, let me love them and of course kiss them, and show them all of the wonderful Boxer qualities that I have. If you would like to meet me and see what all this kissing is about, click my link.

More about this rescue

Northwest Boxer Rescue (NWBR) believes that every boxer deserves a chance to live a happy life in a loving home. Abandoned or homeless Boxers will always find shelter, medical care, and ultimately a new home through the efforts of NWBR. By working with committed volunteers and local veterinarians we are able to rescue boxers every year, provide them with loving temporary care, and find them perfect loving forever homes. Working in conjunction with city and county groups, NWBR strives to educate the public and help end animal overpopulation and needless suffering. The commitment to share the love of Boxers is never ending.

We never discriminate on the basis of health or age. Our animals are evaluated, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and receive any necessary medical treatment before they are placed in carefully screened homes.
