For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
10-year-old Dodger is a very loving dog in need of a home where he is the only pet. He is very well-trained and knows the following commands: Sit, Stay, Wait, Leave it, Down, Come, Outside Spot, Food, Treat.
Dodger loves to greet you with a toy and will run to find one when he gets excited. He is crate and house trained. He loves talking walks or just snuggling up.
Dodger is friendly with every person he meets and loves attention. He is good with children, although he may become excited and jump on them. Dodger has never been aggressive towards people, and his owners can take food and toys from him without issue.
However, despite their best efforts, including working with multiple trainers, Dodger continues to have episodes of aggression towards the other dogs in their home. After much consideration, they have made the difficult decision to look for a home where Dodger could enjoy his golden years as the only pet.
Dodger is in good health. He had back surgery about 5 years ago and fully recovered. His full medical history is available.
