My name is Amos and I about 2-3 years old. I am a handsome all natural blue boy.
I had a family once and I thought things were good but, apparently, they weren’t because one day I was just taken out and dumped in the middle of nowhere and left to fend for myself. I did not understand why, It was a scary time but fortunately someone got me to a shelter and the kind people there took care of me and found a rescue who would take me. They even drove me for many hours to get me to the rescue.
I am not one to hold grudges, so I took the journey in stride and loved on all of my drivers all of the way to Nebraska. I was just so grateful for the help!
I am looking forward to my new family so let me tell you some things about myself. I am a blue with a decent coat. Well, let me just say that I am handsome, ok? I am! I am a nice boy and like people. I think that every dog I see is someone I should play with. I have not met any cats yet. I was a model passenger in the car and did not try to tell people how to drive. I don’t do too badly on a leash, either.
I am neutered and vaccinated and ready to start over.
If you want a handsome addition to your family, meet the adoption criteria, and are in the correct area shown on the rescue website (www.doberescue-ne.org), please fill out an application for me. I am not famous like the cookie guy but the ladies sure do like me.
All of our dogs are current with all shots, are on heart worm preventative monthly and are neutered/spayed. All dogs are tail docked. All of the above Dobes are pure breed Dobermans unless otherwise noted.
We hope you can find a place in your heart and your home for one of our rescue Dobes.
Please Note:
In most cases we require a fenced yard.
We do not place our rescue dogs in homes with very young children (under the age of 8 years). We set these limitations, not because of aggression issues with our dogs, but because Dobermans are generally large, active dogs and can easily knock down, run over or easily trip a small child, causing a serious fall. Also, we reserve the right to refuse adoption for any reason.
Our adoption area encompasses Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota.
