Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Wicket entered San Diego Humane Society - Gaines as a stray, and when she wasn't claimed, we scooped her up to become a Frosted Face on July 15th. She is around 9 years old, loves to play fetch, and has a fun and friendly personality.
Wicket went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn more about her in a home. Her Fling Mom reports:
"Wicket is very friendly with everyone she meets. And she will be even friendlier if they play ball with her. Ball is life for Wicket! She would play fetch ALL DAY if she could. And she's so polite about it! She will put the ball right into your hand or lap. She doesn't whine and waits patiently if there's a delay in throwing. She also knows the phrases, "drop it" and "sit." We even play a little tug with some stuffies when she's feeling it.
Wicket likes being near her people, whether that's in a bed at your desk, or lounging on the couch. She is an excellent couch potato and cuddler. She can be left alone for 6 hours at a time, with no accidents. She likes to put herself to bed early and sleep in, too!
Wicket picked up on the potty routine quickly. She had one accident our first morning together, but after that she realized she would be taken out as soon as we got out of bed. Since then, she knows to go to the door to let us know she needs out, when nature calls. She goes potty before bed and will sleep all night without having to get up to pee.
When we would go on walks, Wicket ignores small, barky dogs. She did bark at one bigger dog in our neighborhood and that was the first time we had heard her bark!"
If super sweet and playful sounds like the new best friend you've been looking for, please email adopt@frostedfacesfoundation.org!
