Walter is currently be fostered off site. When we first picked him up he was selective of other cats, but after getting him neutered he has mellowed out. He is being fostered in a home with another inside cat and children. His foster family reports he is doing well. He is a super snuggly guy! Our adoption fees range from $35-$125, which includes a microchip. If the dog/cat is not vaccinated or spayed/neutered before adoption, you have 30 days to set appointment and return paperwork to WCHS. We also require a copy of your drivers license to attach to your adoption file.

We are 1 of 3 Humane Society AND Animal Control facilities in the state of Illinois. We are a private organization that is contracted with our county and several localities within our county to provide animal control services. We have 2 full time employees and 2 part time employees that care for our furry friends daily.
