Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mitzy came into a local shelter with five one day old kittens. She was a wonderful mother and raised her babies and they all found homes.

Mitzy then took in several orphaned kittens like she knew they needed some extra Mama cat love. She fed, washed and cared for these babies like her own.

Mitzy is a beautiful sorrel tortoiseshell short hair cat. Her coat has many colors that glisten. She's a sweet young cat and gets along well with other kitties. If you'd like a Tortie in your life, please complete an adoption application at hsdavie.org/cats

More about this rescue

The Humane Society of Davie County is a non-profit 501c3 group seeking to make a difference in the lives of animals in Davie County and surrounding areas. The Humane Society obtained tax-exempt status in late 1998 and since then has endeavored to improve conditions for animals at the local animal shelter, raise awareness in the community about the need of spay/neuter of animals, and place numerous previously unwanted animals into loving homes. The Humane Society’s long-term goal is to eliminate the overpopulation of dogs and cats in Davie County.
