Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Leo. Leo is a 2 year, sweet boy, who joined the NorCal family when his family decided he needed more attention than they could give him. He was welcomed into foster care where he won the hearts of the everyone he meets. In typical Cocker style, Leo bonds quickly to a human and need to see them at all times. He will follow you from room to room, sleep at your feet, spoon you at night and will insist on coming on car rides when he sees you grab your keys. Like all Cockers, Leo needs frequent attention to his ears and frequent grooming. Leo is a youngster who needs physical activity and a healthy outlet for his wiggles. He loves dissecting toys, attempting to chew down Nylabones, and rolling a ball around the house. Unlike other young dogs, Leo knows not to chew shoes and learns quickly what he is and is not allowed to play with. Leo wants to be a cat hunter when he grows up, he thinks cats are pests to be trapped and released somewhere far away. If you have cats Leo is not for you; if your neighbors outdoor cats are invading your yard Leo will fix that for you, but you will have to hear a lot of barking. Leo would prefer a small animal-free home. Unlike many dogs, Leo is not bothered by small humans, he will not attempt to heard them or correct them but he will steal their snacks out of their hands. Leo requests frequent play time with other dogs, big or small, he loves them all. Leo is very smart and trainable, he has shown an aptitude for scent work and would love to try other dog sports with his new humans.
Leo has been to the Vet and has a clean bill of health, other than the usual pesky ear infections.
If you are interested in Leo, please go on our website at norcalcockerrescue.org and fill out an adoption application.
