My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zizu is just the happiest, go-lucky guy around! He was found on the streets of Mexico being bullied by a nearby group of dogs & people. He has come such a long way in learning what it feels like to finally have somewhere safe to sleep & a nice dinner at the end of every day.

He is super playful & is cautious of his energy/size when playing. He LOVES to play with humans & dogs - he does just fine with dogs smaller than him & can be a little shy with larger dogs. He is potty trained & is working on learning basic commands. He would do great with kids, adults & other pets if given the chance!

Zizu is a male mixed breed around a year old! He is neutered, current on age appropriate vaccines & microchipped. He weighs around 40lbs.

Additional adoption info

In some circumstances, meeting the dog and a home check are done at the same time if the dog is ready to be adopted. We do have conversation with potential adopters prior to them meeting the dog. If they are interested in adopting a puppy who is not ready for adoption (not altered, not UTD, etc) they are able to put a hold on the pup until ready for adoption.

More about this rescue

Pathways for Paws was founded in October 2019. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, animal welfare organization.

Our mission is to make spay/neuter & vaccinations affordable to those in our communities. By achieving this, we will help prevent the neglect & abuse of dogs. All dogs in our care are spay/neutered, given the age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before going to their FURever families.

We work with rescues & fellow animal advocates to continue growing a network of volunteers and supporters.
