My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Suni

Suni came into Calpaws’ care when unfortunately her mama didn’t survive the litter’s birth. She was lovingly bottle fed until 5 weeks of age and transferred with 4 of her siblings into a foster home. Suni has learned the social ropes from her foster’s 3 adult shepherds and also how to resist chasing free range chickens.

She spends her days exploring her surroundings then napping at her foster’s feet. She loves tagging along with her foster shepherds but as much as she tries, she can’t quite keep up with them. Everyone loves this old soul girl!

Suni quietly sleeps in her crate at night and has mastered housetraining and “sit”.  She has a wonderfully calm demeanor. Suni is a very smart girl and is very food motivated so training will be a breeze. She loves other dogs and kids and based on what we’ve observed, she can be trained to respect cats.  Her siblings have found their forever homes and are receiving rave reviews. Now it’s Suni’s

Puppy: up to 1 yr $450.00

Our dogs are spayed/neutered and a registered chip. For our puppies they are up to date on vaccinations.  Once adopted it is the new owner’s responsibility to continue the remaining vaccinations with a veterinarian.

Our adoption process includes an initial conversation about the dog to see if the dog is a good match or if another dog could be a more suitable match. We also will complete a home visit. It should be noted that our adoption counselors know the dogs and can best guide any possible adopter with a suitable match.

Please visit https://www.calpaws.org/available-dogs for the adoption application!

We are always in need of experienced fosters for the amount of dogs we have coming in. Being a foster is such a rewarding experience. If you are interested please review https://www.calpaws.org/fostering
