Dog Name: Aries
Breed: 100% Good Boy Mix
Sex: Male
Age: 10 years old
Weight: 50 lbs
Medical Needs: None
Housebroken: Yes
Crate trained: Yes and eats meals in his crate.
Good in the car: Yes, he loves car rides (needs to be seat-belted in the back unless you want a 50lb copilot in your lap)!
Good on a leash: Great on a leash.
Energy level: Low - Medium
Need a fenced in yard: Foster has a fenced yard so the pack can run free and tennis balls stay in the yard.
Dog Friendly: Aries gets along well with other other dogs that share his same energy level.
If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No but he does share the house with the foster's two other dogs and they all get along well.
Cat Friendly? No cats in the house and he's shown limited interest in the neighborhood outside cats during walks.
Kid Friendly: Yes
If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed? Any with supervision.
Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them?
Do you need a unconditionally loving buddy? Aries wants to be wherever you are. Getting a snack, he'll be there to help you make a good choice. Going to the basement to do the laundry, he'll wait at the top of the steps and then watch you fold towels. Brushing your teeth, he'll make sure you floss!
Do you need someone who is so happy you came home that he squeals with joy when you walk in the door. Whether it's a 5 minute trip back and forth to WAWA, a few hours of errands or a half day at work, you're going to feel loved when you get back home! Side note: The foster works from home and Aries is rarely crated for more than a few hours.
He's vocal . . . he's going to bark at loud noises on a TV show or a car door shutting outside from time to time. He might even fart in his sleep, wake himself up and then bark (hilarious!) He's definitely going to bark when someone is at the door (knocking or coming in).
He has a curious behavior where he randomly barks at people walking around the house (no matter if they are permanent residents or occasional visitors) but quickly quiets down. Example, the foster's 20 y/o son comes downstairs and gets a barky greeting. Aries quickly quiets but might speak up again if the foster's son goes to another room for a short period and then comes back. On the other hand, he might also squeal with joy. That's a work in progress and something the foster associates with Aries past.
Aries loves to nest, so if you have a blanket on the sofa or floor, he's gonna get under it!
He has good door manners and waits patiently for permission to go outside.
Aries is 100% Good Boy and deserves to relax in comfort in his senior years with people who are going to give him continuous love and attention. He would be the greatest addition to your household or pack!
