Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Frankie is a male tricolor small terrier mix such as rat terrier/dachshund (our guess). He is less than 1 year old and he weighs 15 pounds. Frankie is neutered and vaccinated including rabies. Frankie is heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm preventive. Frankie is ready for adoption.
Frankie transferred to us from another rescue and was immediately comfortable and social, not disturbed at all by the change. He is Mr Friendly, making friends with dogs who don’t even really want to be friends. He is a little stubborn about the kennel although he is fine once he is in it. For one with so little experience he is very adaptable to the leash, and he should finalize potty training fairly easily…he just needs to learn the ins and outs of a new situation but he understands. Frankie should do well with any family structure as he loves everyone. He's still a pup so expect some puppy behaviors, but he’s matured out of most of it. (Side note: On his left hip Frankie had something stuck and hardened in his hair, like adhesive, right up against the skin, so during his neuter the spot was shaved…hence the heart-shaped bald spot!)
Adoption fee is $250. Must apply: Application for adoption is located at http://fs19.formsite.com/JeffTarpleyRescue/application/index.html

Jeff Tarpley Rescue is a full-time volunteer rescue effort dedicated to helping dogs. All dogs for adoption are rescued from shelters or owner surrenders. Puppies under 4 months old are vaccinated and dewormed several times, with a spay/neuter contract required for adoption. The vetting of an adult dog includes spay/neuter, vaccinations including rabies, and heartworm testing. Dental work and treatment of heartworms, cherry eye, mange, parvo exposure and broken limbs are some examples of what is done to save lives. Shot and medical records come with the dog upon adoption and include the last date heartworm prevention was administered.
