My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Irvin is a very sweet and sociable young cat (under one year).  He is in rescue because, in late March of this year, a driver saw him energetically, happily running across a major thoroughfare in Newark – holding one limb aloft.  It was clear that he had a grave injury to his leg.  Thankfully, we were able to get him into care the very next day and, after several weeks of casting that limb, he is now in perfect condition.  Irvin was most definitely the “leader of the pack” on his block – his exuberant run across a very dangerous street (despite his pain and lameness) was followed by several more cats, all trying to get to a meal.  Irvin loves to be held and stroked.  He is a very intelligent young cat.  He needs an understanding home, with a guardian who knows of his difficult road to rescue.  If interested please fill out an application at EHRcats.org.

Eleventh Hour Rescue dogs and cats are cared for by our compassionate and dedicated team of volunteers and staff. Whether in foster homes, our kennel or adoption centers, each dog and cat receives a clean and safe living environment, fresh food and water, medical attention, and most importantly an abundance of love and care until they find their FURever homes. We are dedicated to educating the community about the animal over-population problem and the importance of spaying and neutering. All funds go directly to supporting our animals and their needs. We are an eligible charity under federal code 501(c)3 founded in 2004.
