Today I met a new friend. I was shaking a little because I was nervous to meet my walker, but I warmed up to her pretty quickly once we stepped outside. I am open and curious about meeting new people. We walked around the parking lot for 10 minutes and then I hopped into the car and we drove to Shady Oaks Park. We went on a 4 mile walk where I got to enjoy the sights and sniffs. Afterwards, we rested in the grass and then went back to the shelter. It was a great day!
Three Words to Describe Me are: Friendly, Sweet, Curious
Notes from My Walker: This was my first time meeting Mason. He was a little nervous to meet me but he was also very friendly and curious. He waited patiently as I leashed him up. He was able to hop into the car on his own, but also appreciated being helped up. In the car he enjoyed looking outside, especially the back window. He did great on the trail- he likes to walk in front of you but doesn’t pull. He also loves people and would patiently wait and stare at them as they passed by us in hopes that they would say hello. Many people on the trail complimented him and told him that he was a good boy and that he looked really happy. He was non-reactive to everything on the trail- people, dogs, bicycles, and wildlife. Mason enjoys a good sniffy walk with some rest breaks in between. After potty, he likes to kick up dirt behind him so make sure you don’t end up in the splash zone like I did. Mason likes treats and can “sit” on command. Overall, he’s the sweetest dog who would make a great companion to anyone!
