My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Updated: 05NOV24

**Meet (formerly Syon)**

Weight: 48 lbs of love and laughter
Status: Spayed (no surprise puppy parties here!)
Vaccinations: Up to date

**Background**

Rescued from the euthanasia list at Memphis Animal Services (MAS)-now she's living the good life!

Ginger's journey is a testament to resilience and hope. Once on the euthanasia list, she was given a second chance at life through the dedication of compassionate rescue volunteers who saw her potential for joy and companionship. Now, this sweet girl is thriving and ready to share her vibrant spirit with a loving family.

**Behavioral Highlights**

Ginger has a natural affinity for children and is great with them! Her gentle nature makes her an ideal companion for families, and she seems to understand the importance of being patient and playful. She's perfect for parents in need of a furry babysitter who can keep the kids entertained while also providing comfort and companionship.

When it comes to cats, Ginger's behavior is still a mystery. She may view them as fancy toys or potential pals, but her interactions will need to be monitored. Introducing her to feline friends could lead to some amusing antics, so it's best to proceed with caution.

**Health**

Currently, Ginger is undergoing heartworm treatment (HW+). This condition requires extra care and attention, but she's handling it like a trooper! With the right treatment and love, she's on the road to recovery and will soon be ready to enjoy life to the fullest. Her resilience is truly inspiring.

*Toys:* While toys aren't really her forte, Ginger does enjoy an occasional showdown with a red wiener dog. These playful encounters bring out her spirited side, showcasing her ability to engage and have fun, even if she doesn't have a favorite toy.

**Personality**

Ginger's personality is one of her most endearing qualities. She is wonderfully submissive and sweet, displaying a delightful habit of dropping to the ground and showing you her belly quicker than you can say "good girl!" Her playful demeanor is complemented by a unique headbanging move that would make rock stars jealous-one look at her and you can't help but smile.

When called, Ginger comes running, which is more than we can say for some humans! Her eagerness to please and her responsiveness to commands make her a joy to have around. She loves to snuggle, often curling up next to her human like a furry blanket. There's nothing quite like the warmth and affection of a dog that thinks of you as their whole world.

Ginger also has a quirky way of showing affection-she nibbles at fingers gently, making you chuckle and think, "Dinner for one, anyone?" This charming behavior is just one of the many ways she expresses her love and connection to those around her.

**Conclusion**

In summary, Ginger is not just a dog; she's a fluffy comedian ready to fill your life with joy and a few giggles. With her playful spirit, loving nature, and heartwarming backstory of being rescued from the euthanasia list, she's looking for a forever home that will appreciate her unique personality. Ginger is sure to bring endless love and laughter to any family lucky enough to welcome her into their hearts!
