This helps Animal Rescue League of Iowa Inc. with pet care costs.
HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway foster program, which gives cats a vacation from the shelter and lets them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please contact Mary at mmccarroll@arl-iowa.org or Carol at cgriglione@arl-iowa.org.
---
- Laid back, independent girl who enjoys being with her humans
- Is a very happy kitty who purrs a lot
- Enjoys sleeping next to her humans, but she is not a super cuddly cat, or really a lap cat
- Loves scratches on her head, neck, ears and chin
- An adorably round, big-boned chonk!
- When she is extra comfortable, she loves to show her belly, and she actually loves belly pets and armpit scratches!
-She is very chirpy and vocal and asks "what are we doing today?", when her humans are up in the morning
- Enjoys playing with toy balls, laser pointers, catnip and feather toys on strings and little mouse toys to hunt
- Loves to climb up high in her kitty tree - she can climb really fast, and in general she is very fast, especially for her size - the top of the kitty tree, in the sunny window is her favorite spot
- She likes to use scratching posts (carpet, cardboard, and rope are all good)
- Not a fan of other animals, and needs to be the only pet in her new home
- Young, noisy or busy children are too much for her, so she's looking for a mature home that's calm and predictable
- Can get a little spicy and overstimulated if you play too hard with her
- Will thrive in a peaceful, quiet home with one or two people who want a fun, delightfully grumpy, casual cat companion to love and care for
All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age)
