Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Yawoong-ee, also known as Meow! This handsome guy has a curious spirit and a touch of shyness. Meow can be a bit cautious with strangers at first, but given time, he warms up and reveals his affectionate side. Meow has experience living with children and will likely enjoy a home with older children and/or adults. At night, he becomes a lively explorer, ready to play and discover. Meow is searching for a patient and loving home where he can continue to thrive. He would benefit from a cat-savvy family.
Yawoong-ee has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Yawoong-ee can be adopted as a solo cat, or live with other cats (FIV+ is recommended, though living with FIV- cats can be done); this is up to the adopter. If the adopter has any questions about bringing an FIV+ cat into their home, we recommend they speak with their veterinarian.
Yawoong-ee is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take him home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!
If you`d like to meet our available pets, please check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours! Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on our adoption process, including requirements and fees, visit: www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalshelter/adopt
