We must have an application to move forward.
ABIGAIL is an Anatolian Shepherd mix. She is about 75# and 2-3 yrs old. Abigail has some fuzzy hair with a beautiful fluffy tail that curls over her back when she’s playful. She is house trained and crate trained. She has no interest in cats and is particularly fearful of farm animals. She has not been around farm animals while growing up. In the process of testing her with all the animals, the donkey was the scariest and the noise the pigs made were frightful. After a half an hour walking among the farm animals she became much more curious and about them and calm…even with the donkey.
She was a little leery of my sister and me but it only took her a few minutes to say hello. After that, all of us were able to pet her and give her treats. Her temperament is calm, sweet, and adaptable. Abigail has an allergy to Chicken so she is kept on a Blue Buffalo Lamb kibble. She also needs to go outside every 6-7 hours to do her business.
This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period."
If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060.

After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying.
Adoption Fees
The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting.
All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog.
HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/
This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose.
Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

More about this rescue
We used to call ourselves Shayne's Rescue as we used to rescue dogs. Now, we are Shayne's Fosters as we foster TX rescue pups & dogs.. We assist several TX rescuers where shelters kill 80-99% of what comes in besides the millions and millions of strays on the streets. Hence, we foster for TX rescues who do impeccable jobs of vetting, quarantine all of their pups/dogs and send up the best dogs we have ever met. All have a health certificate prior to transport (vet visit). We work super hard volunteering and we can always use more assistance from volunteers!
Please do apply. We have so many dogs and puppies available.
This application we always see, for our long term partner Pet Central SATX Rescue.
