My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption Fee: $275, plus taxes
Location: Chuck and Don's, Rosemount

Hi, I'm Harriet! I'm a sweet, soft little kitty looking for my forever home! I went to the shelter with some siblings but I'm the last one left...I can't wait to find the family that wants to love me forever. Although I came with siblings, I don't love other kitties all that much, so I think being an only child would make me the happiest. I have not been around dogs yet. I am great with kids! I love cuddles and find just about everything purr-worthy. I sometimes sit on the back of a dining room chair and even chase my own tail which shows my playful side! I'm so curious and inquisitive, my friends at the shelter say I'm the cutest kitten in the world. I am so sweet and affectionate, I just know I'll win someone's heart soon!

Harriet is about 7 months old, she is spayed, microchipped and is current with her vaccinations.

If you would like to meet Harriet, please go to Chuck and Don's in Rosemount and speak to an associate to learn more!

Go meet their pets

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue

Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.

In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.

CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
