Mango is a sweet, tiny little girl kitty who wants nothing more in life than to be on your lap purring away and showing you love. She'll also hang out on your shoulders if she can get up there. And she's the Mistress of the Headbutt and will reach her head up to your chin or face at every opportunity, out of an abundance of adoration.

Mango is a good girl with clean habits and a gentle disposition. She would like most of all to be an only cat, so she can have her humans all to herself, but she does tolerate other cats. She's very petite and gentle and will follow you around -- sometimes wrapping herself around your legs, so be careful she doesn't trip you!

Little Miss Mango must have been somewhat food deprived in her past, because she's still a bit skinny. But she LOVES her wet food and is slowly putting on weight and filling out. She's very healthy all around, though, which is a great thing.

Would you like to invite this lovely little lady into your home, to purr on your lap, give you adoring headbutts, and follow you around like a puppy dog? It's the best!

We adopt animals to homes in the Los Angeles area and neighboring counties.
Our cat adoption questionnaire https://kittenrescue.org/adopt/cat-adoption-form/ is first step of our adoption process, which also includes a home visit, the signing of an adoption contract, and payment of our adoption fee.
Adoption Fees
$150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, or $250 if you adopt a pair.
Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.
Our dog adoption fee depends on the dog breed and age.

Many of our kitties live in foster homes and can be visited at one of our four weekly adoption events or by arranging directly with the foster.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
