Alfie is ready to sniff out some fun. This hound is friendly and playful. For a future home with another dog, Alfie would require a meet-and-greet, as he is dog-selective. He would also benefit from some leash training. If you are interested in learning more about this pet, call the Montgomery County, Virginia, Animal Care and Adoption Center at 540-382-5795.

More about this shelter
The Animal Care and Adoption Center (ACAC) opened on April 29, 2017 to provide care to stray and adoptable pets in the county.
The center's primary goal is to increase animal adoptions by expanding visitation and maximizing visibility in a setting where prospective pet owners visit dogs in an outdoor courtyard and cats in community rooms. Through partnerships with local animal groups and volunteers, the center emphasizes increasing adoptions and returning pets to their owners.
The Animal Care and Adoption Center's 16,300-square-foot-facility replaces a 1970s-era masonry facility that only housed dogs. The ACAC has the capacity to house 68 dogs and 64 cats.
ADOPTION FEES
Interested in adopting a pet? Unless otherwise listed, cats are $60 and dogs are $80.
