My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Honey was brought in by her previous owner on July 11, 2024

Why this pet is the one for you:
Introducing the delightful Honey! This precious girl is the epitome of sweetness - her name says it all! At first glance, Honey might seem a tad bashful, but give her a moment to warm up, and she'll be wagging her tail and stealing your heart faster than you can say "fetch"! With a gentle touch and a sprinkle of patience, she'll be rolling over for belly rubs like a pro. Honey is just buzzing with excitement to find a new home, and she promises to fill it with endless cuddles and tail wags. Honey has been reactive towards dogs, is not a fan of cats and will do best in a home without young children. She also has a fractured tooth that needs extracting. If you're interested in giving this pup the loving home she deserves, grab a leash and collar and head to our Oceanside Campus today. Honey is ready to make your life sweeter than ever before!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
