My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Liono, a charming 11-month-old pup who's ready to find his forever home! Despite his name, Liono is more of a gentle, timid soul who thrives in a calm and patient environment. This sweet boy has a bit of a shy side and would flourish best in a household without young children.

Liono is still working on building his confidence and could use some help with basic training. With the right guidance and lots of encouragement, Liono is sure to grow into a loving and loyal companion. He's looking for an owner who understands that patience and kindness are key to helping him feel secure and happy.

If you're ready to invest time and love into nurturing this tender-hearted dog, Liono is eager to reward you with his endearing personality and unshakable devotion. Are you the patient, caring person Liono needs? Come meet him and see if you're the perfect match!

Interested in meeting Liono? Great! Liono has some additional requirements to set them and their new family up for success. Our team will be happy to introduce you, and please plan on bringing your whole family. There's no appointment required - just come to the shelter any time during open hours and check in with our Customer Care Staff at the front desk. They'll walk you through all the information we have to see if it might be a good fit. If you'd like to call or email for more information before visiting in person, you can reach us by email at animalshelter@fairfaxcounty.gov (preferred), or by phone at 703-830-1100 (Michael R. Frey Campus) or 703-324-0299 (Lorton Campus).
