Sammie is a good-natured 11 month old boy who loves all people, other dogs, toys, and playing fetch. This sweet guy has come a very long way since he was found abandoned and was so thin all his ribs were showing. He spent many, many months in a shelter, but finally his whole world changed when he suddenly found himself in a loving foster home. Sammie has filled out beautifully now, and he has shown nothing but love towards everyone.
Sammie’s foster momma says “He loves to snuggle on the couch. He is such a sweet and very intelligent dog. The first day I brought him home I taught him to sit and lay down, and have since taught him to shake and (sometimes ha ha) stay! He loves, loves his toys. Each morning he greets you with a toy in his mouth. One of his favorite toys is a Benebone which keeps him occupied… stuffed toys don’t always keep their stuffing! Sammie loves my senior dog and is very respectful. He likes my 3 cats too even though they’re not crazy about him. When we play fetch, he will bring back whatever I throw and drop it to be thrown again.”
