Dog Day Out, 8/9/24: Fernanda was a joy to have for the day! She was all smiles and loving affection; she is a people pleaser and would love nothing more to make you happy. She easily took direction on our walks together and in the house. Fern is a real treat on leash; she had pep in her step and was excited to go for a walk, but did not pull or yank while on leash. She got excited when we went towards the car and first got out of the shelter and pulled a little, but was so easily managed on leash! She did fantastic in my home; no accidents and always came to tell me when she needed to go outside to go to bathroom. Fernanda took a bath with the hose, was patient and accommodating. She leaned up against my legs when she wanted affection, and when I wanted a kiss, she would give me one (but wasn`t licking or kissy without consent! ;)). One of her favorite things we did was go for CAR RIDES! She was so happy to put her head out of the window and feel that cool breeze. She wanted to be a passenger princess and sit up in the front seat passenger side, and was thrilled anytime we went in the direction of the car. She is a very sweet, smart dog who is very observant. We spent a lot of the day on the front porch, and she was very content to watch the cars go by. Fernanda is clearly a lovebug; she is the perfect mix of energy and laidback coolness. She was so polite in the house and loving; she would make a loyal BFF for life!! Her beautiful sweet eyes and happy grin would make your day, every day! One of my favorite things is the cute snorts she makes while sniffing around and the utter joy she had to have one day out of the shelter.
Volunteer notes, 7/16/24: Fernanda is a beautiful velvety brindle tank who was perfectly polite, but it took a little time for her to warm up to us. She showed no interest in toys or treats and was laser-focused on all of the business on her agenda (based on her behaviors in the play yard, I would guess she is house trained). Once that was all taken care of and she had fully inspected the p
