My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Duce is our Tongue Out Tuesday model and he LOVES spending time in our play yard soaking up the warm sunshine, running zoomies, playing `Catch Me If You Can`, and simply spending time with his person of the moment. Duce is around a year or so old, and his big smile, cute piglet ears, and happy-go-lucky personality are sure to brighten anyone`s day. He was surrendered after his person moved and didn`t take him. Duce is ready for a whole new chapter and life with humans who will make him a part of their life, every single day. This loving and affectionate boy is waiting to meet you at BAS!

Dog Night Out, 7/6/24:
Duce was super sweet! He has an awesome personality and definitely loves girls! He loved giving kisses, playing with us, rolling in the grass, and riding in cars. He is 100% good and super playful. He seems to still be like a puppy and constantly wants to play! He did amazing during car rides and would almost fall asleep. He is the perfect type of dog for someone who can give him attention and a good amount of activity! He also loves watching TV as well. He does need a little work on potty training, but he did do great throughout the night without needing to go outside in the middle of the night. He met two other dogs and all he wanted to do with them was play! He did great with them (one Australian Shepherd/Lab mix, the other a sort of pitbull mix). He is still working on house training. We took him out every few hours on a leash and let him guide us around our yard. He is good in the house, but definitely loves getting on the couches. He didn’t tear anything up and only played with his toys. He is SUPER gentle when taking treats. I have never met a dog that is that gentle! He can sit and sometimes speak on command. He rarely barks, but will for his toy or treat! He did great in the crate. He wined for a little bit, but he settled down and went to sleep for the night. He also had no accidents in the crate! He had no negative behaviors that I noticed.

Volunteer notes, 5/28/24:
Duce is hilarious. He is full of energy and completely shameless about his treat consumption. He will climb in your lap for treats. He will run and jump for treats. He might even sit politely for treats—if it’s a high-value treat! He has a great attitude, friendly and joyful. He doesn’t necessarily respect personal space but if you’re looking for a big goofy lap dog, look no further!

Dog Day Out, 5/11/24:
Duce is a young, strong dog that loves to
