My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Meet Storm: Our Energetic and Playful German Shepherd**

Storm is a spirited one-year-old German Shepherd with a zest for life and a love for playtime. As a young pup with plenty of energy, Storm is eager to learn and grow. He’s already mastered the `sit` command and is highly motivated by his favorite pastime: fetch. When it comes to tennis balls, Storm`s enthusiasm is unmatched; he’s fully immersed in the game, making training sessions both fun and rewarding.

With his passion for playing ball, Storm is poised to become an exceptionally well-trained companion. He thrives in an environment where he receives plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Storm is looking for a family that can provide the physical activity he needs to stay happy and calm, as well as the guidance and encouragement to keep him motivated.

If you’re ready to engage with an energetic, intelligent dog and offer him a loving home where he can thrive, Storm is eager to join your family and make every day an adventure.

More about this shelter

Volunteers needed now. Are you an animal lover, do you have a couple of hours each week to volunteer? Many opportunities available. Work with dogs, cats, bunnies, office work, fostering and more. For more details on volunteering contact Michelle Maltun at (805) 345-5741.

We care for stray and homeless animals, including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits and other animals such as chickens, guinea pigs or iguanas. We always hope the family will come to reclaim their lost pet, but if not, we work to find a loving new family for them.

We ensure that dogs are current on their rabies vaccination and license.

At Animal Services, our goal is to ensure that all the animals in our County have a safe place to live. We work hard to find loving homes for the many dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals that come into our care. Together, with community partners and concerned citizens, we are making sure that all these animals have a "Forever Home!"
