Meet Pip!

This sweet and handsome shorty is a big guy in a smaller body (see his videos, he is adorable!)
Pip is slightly overweight as his foster mama over did the loving and currently 58 pounds which is fine but he really should be in the 53 pound range. Pip is not a tall dog. He is a total sweetheart and volunteers mention at events he is a bit strong on the leash at events because he is easily excitable around the people and other dogs just a 'happy to be there' personality and a very sweet guy.
He is currently in a foster home which has a patio and enjoys seeing people and dogs walking by, he also shares the home with his foster moms dogs who are 2 senior small breed terriers and a large breed pit who is a senior dog. He enjoys playing with his foster sister named 'Ambar' who is also looking to be adopted, these two are a great complimentary pair if anyone is looking to adopt 2 adult medium/large dogs however, they are NOT bonded and do not need to be adopted together, the adoption fee for the second dog however, would be waived.

Pip does well with/around dogs, he has no problem saying hi to them on leash but we are not sure how he would do off leash at locations like dog parks/doggy day care. He is really an ideal dog for a family who just wants to enjoy a family dog at home and has no interest in the hoopla of the dog park life style. He could use more walks around the neighorbood and or a larger yard to run around with a dog friend or a fetch game so he can loose those extra few pounds. If you are looking for a very loving social dog who enjoys humans, incluing children then PIp may just be the perfect dog for you. If you'd like to adopt or foster this sweetheart please submit an application online at ARWOB.org

More about this rescue

The A.R.W.O.B. group is based in San Diego, CA and operates mostly in Mexico as well as Southern California and will come to the aid of any animal in need which crosses our path. Our belief is to do what we can in order to “Make a difference in their lives.” From experience we have observed and feel the companion animals of Mexico are in the greatest need and accordingly we focus much of our efforts in Baja, Mexico. However, we certainly extend our help to our north of the border critters by accepting relinquished family pets, exiting both dogs and cats from the shelters of San Diego and of course by working in conjunction with other animal rescue groups in the community
