Kinzy got to AAC in mid July, so we are still learning about her as the days go on. Here`s what we know so far... She arrived here with her sister, and so far we have observed her to be a total affectionate love bug! When Volunteers take her out to the play yard, she will play and run around to get her sniffs in, but then will cuddle up to a volunteer`s leg and ask for belly rubs! You can see her standard belly rub stance in some of her photos. Ha! A volunteer recently gushed, `Kinzy stole my heart! When she wasn`t playing with her sister, she was sitting in front of me getting pets.`
Kinzy is also observed to be friendly with other pups. Specifically noted that she is very confident when meeting pups! If you are looking to add a sis to your family pack or dog pack, Kinzy might be the perfect fit. To ensure compatibility, we will host a doggy meet up at AAC with your resident dog. We can schedule this online or when you come to the shelter to meet her.

Our shelter has more than 500 available cats and dogs every day! For pets at the shelter: Adoptions must be completed in-person at the shelter. AAC is open for adoption walk-ins every day from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. A shelter pet’s availability can change at any time, so we recommend choosing a few favorites. For pets in foster: Go to www.AustinAnimalCenter.org to find the pet's profile and click that pet's pink “Adopt Me” button. This will prompt you to complete an adoption questionnaire. Submitting an application does not hold the animal for you.
