Meet Kevin

Kevin is a wonderful Great Pyrenees Mix who lost his farm home after repeatedly running away during thunderstorms and leaving the livestock unattended. He just did not want to be the herding dog his family was forcing him to be…so he repeatedly tried to escape to a better life, as an indoor family pet. Kevin is just about 3 years old, and weighs an estimated 115 lbs.

In his foster home, Kevin has adapted wonderfully to inside family life including never having accidents in the house or getting into things belonging to others in the household……or herding the other dogs!

Kevin gets very anxious during storms and fireworks so he wears a thunder shirt and takes calming meds for those times. He is not destructive when anxious; he just wants to be close to someone and he pants a lot.

An ideal home for this precious boy one with Great Pyrenees experience, a secure fenced yard, possibly a canine companion and most importantly plenty of attention, patience, and love to offer this very special boy.

Kevin is fully vetted, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm prevention, neutered and microchipped.
