My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pumpkin joined us from a local rescue partner and was thought to have already been spayed. We had her checked out when she was growing increasingly round and to our surprise she was confirmed to be pregnant and has since given birth to five healthy kittens. Pumpkin has finished raising her kittens and is ready for a home of her own. She is a sweet, mellow girl who loves to be with her people.  She has been spayed and is up to date on vaccines.  She did test FIV positive so we recommend that she be an only kitty, or that she live with other FIV positive kitties.  She does get along with other cats with a proper introduction.  Must be 100% indoors only.  Adoption $75.

Go meet their pets

Our shelter has visiting hours - Wed through Sat from noon 'til 5 p.m. You're welcome anytime we're open.
Most our our dogs live in foster homes, and will likely not be at the shelter unless arrangements are made ahead of time.
We do hold monthly "Meet and Greets" at local pet stores, but here, as well, to meet a specific dog arrangements should be made in advance so that
your potential new best friend can be there waiting to meet you.

More about this rescue

CompAnimals Pet Rescue is a small not-for-profit "no kill" rescue. Our mission is to take in unwanted, abandoned or abused dogs, cats and other small pets; to place those we can in loving, permanent homes; and to provide a sanctuary for the animals whose age, health issues or temperament precludes them from adoption. Our dogs & cats are neutered, vaccinated and receive all necessary medical treatment beford being made available for adoption. Through our volunteers and outreach programs we educate the next generation about the importance of spay/neuter and giving a lifelong home to their pets. We hope to one day put ourselves out of business but until then we will continue to rescue regardless of breed, age or medical condition.
