Update: Morton is now with one of our wonderful foster families in Raeford NC. They have lots of property that he loves to explore and even a pond he likes to take a dip in!!!! He has proven to be house broken, adventurous, yet a couch potato too. A comfy couch is a must (Morton said to require this in his bio) he would enjoy the company of another canine companion. His foster mom said he is a perfect dude.
Morton is new to us but right off the bat he has made a wonderful impression. He is submissive and kenneled with Delinda who often is a little rough with him and he could careless. He came from one of our local animal control facilities that had to euthanize for space and they saw how special he was and pushed hard to find him a solution. Thanks to them advocating for his new beginning worked and here he is!
He is go with the flow and enjoys the company of others (humans and dogs)
He ignored the cats for his cat test, did gently paw one to try to play. Was calm around them and not focused in on the cats and willingly left the area of the cats.
We are still getting to know Morton but he would love a fenced yard to enjoy all the sniffs and stretch his legs. He is a very special boy.
