Meet Edith, a gentle girl with a heart full of love. Her friendly but cautious demeanor is appealing, making her a joy to be around. Despite her timid nature, she is always curious and alert, ready to explore her surroundings. She has found that jumping over things is a way to get out and about for new explorations. She weighs 29 pounds and has rather long legs made for jumping. She has a knack for being a bit nosy, her curiosity often leading her into new situations with enthusiasm. She likes fetch, running, toys, walks, wrestling and being by herself. She doesn't enjoy car rides. Cuddly and gentle, she loves nothing more than snuggling up after a day of adventure. She enjoys laps, being petted, and passing out kisses. A recent adopter said she is house trained but she was returned because of her irresistible urge to jump fences and run away when adventure called her name. We haven't seen her interact with other animals and her sometimes fearful nature and timidity are leading us to require that she live in home with kids at least nine years old. She is friendly and playful with them but a bit mouthy. Her sweet nature and zest for life make her the perfect companion. CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.
