My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ozzie is an adorable male with a soft and plush dark orange marble coat. If you are looking for a cat that looks forward to you walking in the room, greeting you with purrs and tail hugs, this lovely is for you!

He has a playful spirit, enjoying long squiggly toys and small crunchy balls that he can make flit and fly across the room. The red dot is a huge favorite as well. He is a gentle feline that enjoys playing with other cats, and if no cats will play, friendly dogs are fair game.

He sometimes sleeps in the bed, coming up to give you headbutts and make biscuits, but is also independent enough to roam the house while you sleep. As with most cats, simulating the thrill and conclusion of a hunt by playing a few minutes before dinner and then eating, settles him for bed.

He was born in March 2024. All vetting is done. He is ready for you to reach out to meet him and welcome into your family so he can begin building that loving bond, which will bring you and him years of happiness and comfort.

We do contact landlords if potential adopter is renting and we also complete vet checks.
If your pet is NOT spayed or neutered, please explain why not.
Current pets must be up to date on core vaccines, rabies and dogs must be on heartworm preventative.

More about this rescue

Started in 2003 Feline Network Rescue INC is a 501C3 charity originally located in Northern VA but relocated to the Greater Charlotte NC in 2019. Feline Network Rescue, has been monumentally instrumental in trap, neuter and return of ferals and has found homes for hundreds of cats over the years who were stray, abandoned or living on their own in the wild. The mission now continues in North Carolina. A partnership was formed with Faithful Friends Animal Rescue, and then a grant was provided to them. With that over 700 cats were TNR'd by Barbara and one other amazing woman in 14 months.

Feline Network Rescue does NOT have a shelter, but utilizes foster homes of wonderful volunteers that dedicate their time and energy to provide a natural home setting to our rescued kitties...
We have NO paid staff, depend on donations and the generosity of our volunteers, friends and adopters to keep our program going strong.
Our success depends on not only the love for cat rescue and generosity of volunteers, but also the community who see the results of our work and realize that our passion to help homeless cats and kittens will "make a difference... one rescue at a time."
