My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meebs and his brother Obo are not your typical easy cats-they come with extra challenges that require a special kind of dedication and love. They Here's what you need to know if you're considering giving these sweet boys a forever home:

Home Adjustments:
- Solid surface floors are essential, as carpets are not suitable. Be prepared for them to use their nails to climb up your couch.
- Potty Pads: You'll need to have potty pads available and be okay with occasional accidents.
- Safety: Any stairs in your home will need baby gates to prevent falls.

Despite these challenges, if you're willing to put in the effort to help them thrive, you'll be rewarded with the sweetest, most loving companions.

Meet Meebs
Meebs has the most adorable, tiny kitten-like meow! When it's dinner time, he throws himself across the floor in an enthusiastic, wobbly flop. He's mastered the cat tree and loves climbing up high. Cuddling with Obo on the couch is one of his favorite pastimes.

Challenges and Special Needs
Meebs and Obo both have moderate to severe cerebellar hypoplasia, making finding a potty solution difficult. They sometimes use a litterbox with high sides and a low entry, but they mostly rely on heavy, thick potty pads. Accidents happen, but they always try their best.

Adoption Considerations
While they adore each other, they are not completely bonded and could be adopted separately. However, two is always better than one, and they do enjoy each other's company.
If you're ready to open your heart and home to these special boys, you'll find their love and companionship to be incredibly rewarding.

More about this rescue

Community Cat is a nonprofit cat rescue and advocacy group based in Whitewater, Wisconsin. No cat left behind! We focus on cats who are at high risk of euthanasia elsewhere and are considered less adoptable: seniors, disabled, hospice, and special needs. We have saved over 1,700 cats since we were founded in 2009!

We are completely foster home based and utilize those foster homes to rescue and rehabilitate cats that are most at risk for euthanasia. Our foster homes care for these cats as if they were their very own, so they know them very well and we are able to find the best match for potential adopters.
