Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Sierra Aspen
Breed: Shepherd / Siberian Husky Mix
Sex: Spayed female
Age: 1 year
Weight: 52 lbs
Good with dogs? Yes, she loves playing with other dogs! She’s a high-energy girl who is still learning how to take breaks and some other manners, so supervised play with high-energy, accommodating dogs would be best.
Good with cats? No
Good with kids? Not tested yet, but her bouncy energy and enthusiasm might be a bit much for small kiddos right now. With patience and guidance, she could learn to tone it down around them.
Medical/Behavioral needs: Sierra is a brave survivor! After overcoming a tough leg injury as a puppy, she’s full of zest for life. She’s still catching up on some puppy lessons, like calming down, sharing her favorite things, and meeting new people without barking. With structure, love, and a bit of patience, she’s making great progress every day.
Energy level: Girl likes to party!! Sierra is a true adventure buddy who loves hiking, playing, and running like the wind. Even after a full day of activities, she’s not always ready to settle down and might need a gentle reminder (or her crate) to rest.
Mental stimulation can also burn some of her energy - she’s been having fun and making lots of progress training with her foster parents, though she can get distracted or give up if she doesn’t understand what she’s supposed to be learning or if a puzzle toy is too difficult.
Animal Characteristics: Sierra is a playful, goofy, and loving girl who lives for outdoor adventures and fun. She’s got a big personality and a heart of gold, always making her humans smile with her silly antics. With the right forever family, she’ll thrive as an energetic, loyal companion.
And while she’s working out some of these puppy behaviors, it’s impossible to stay annoyed at that goofy face! She will thrive in an active forever home with or without canine siblings and with parents willing to be patient as she grows out of her puppy phase and continues her training progress.
