My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Celestia is available for adoption in South Texas! She is litter box trained, social with people, and is not destructive in the house. Celestia is a very calm kitty. She loves sleeping in the bed with her person, snuggling, eating her treats, and getting petted. Our sweet senior is looking for an indoor home where she will be loved and wanted.

Celestia does have deviated septum from an injury she sustained prior to intake. We do not know what happened, but she did need her broken canine tooth removed. The only affect it has had on her is that she is a mouth breather, on occasion has a whistle sound when she breathes through her nose, is prone to sneezing, and does get watery eye on the affected side. Due to the fact that her injury was not severe, and she is an older, calm kitty, surgery was not recommended. She does not require any special care.

Celestia's adoption includes: spay, vaccines, preventatives, microchip, and her new personal belongings. Her belongings include her new bed, new litter box with scoop, toys, lysine treats (for immune support), dishes, free bag of food from PetSmart, grooming essentials, and much more.

We do same day adoptions. We typically meet & greet with potential adopters at adoption events. If the adoption is a good match, we complete the application & contract. We then deliver the pet to their new home.

Other times, we will conduct the initial meet & greet in the home. If the adoption is a good match, we will complete the application and contract. The pet would move right in the same day.

More about this rescue

Our work began in 2017 when we saw a huge need in our community for pet retention. Our community is currently experiencing an over population of unwanted pets. We work with local shelters, local rescues, local businesses, and pet owners to find loving homes for homeless pets. We offer free training assistance for dogs and cats. We operate a pet pantry where pet food, enrichment, and education are distributed to the families of hundreds of owned pets each year. We assist with respite care. We assist with providing veterinary care to those in need. Our group will advocate with community leadership in order to improve overall human treatment of animals in our area.

We are passionate about what we do, and love to share that passion with others. Volunteer opportunities are available.
