My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our adoption process can be found on our website here: www.mnpocketpetrescue.org/process

Estimated birth date: 12/14/2020

Personality: Curious, Energetic, Friendly toward humans, Friendly toward other animals, Funny, Hesitant, Playful, Smart, Sweet, Very shy (you are unable to touch this animal without it running away or being fearful, etc)

Favorite treats: Cucumbers, carrots & romaine lettuce

Current Diet: Oxbow Essentials Adult Guinea Pig Food, Fruit, Veggies, Leafy Greens, Western Timothy & Orchard Mix, Western Timothy Hay

Favorite toys and activities: Tiffany likes to eat and drink her fresh filtered water all day and chew on a variety of toys. She likes to stretch out and relax while watching me do activities. She likes to follow her sister around very closely and chase her sometimes, and try to take her treats. She will jump on and cuddle next to the cat when her foster puts her on his condo. She comes up front to her cage to look at and sniff the dog for a few minutes.

Potty trained: We're working on it!

This animal’s daily routine: As soon as she sees her foster in the morning, she gets very vocal. She will stand against the cage; Her foster pets her nose and gives her fresh food, water, and veggies. Some treats and a different veggie at lunch and dinner. She is talked to very often, and she loves her cage cleaned/touched up daily. She gets out of cage time in a playpen, etc, or holding for a few minutes.

BFF: Tiffany & Madonna are a bonded and must be adopted together.

Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: Cat and dog. Curious sniffing

Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? None

Health concerns: None

Behavioral concerns: Still very shy, running away when approached to be held only but she will come up to you and sniff you. She comes up when called and she will take treats/food from the hand. She is very chill once you pick her up and cuddle her.

Other notes:

Tiffany & Madonna came back to MNPPR after their adopters where unable to afford to continue care.

Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. This animal's foster parent prefers to meet at the Eagan PetSmart - 1297 Promenade Pl, Eagan, MN 55121 for meet & greets, & adoptions.

Fee: Madonna & Tiffany have a combined adoption fee of $60

More about this rescue

MN Pocket Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) organization primarily serving the Twin Cities Metro Area, focusing on education and public outreach. Our intent is to keep all animals in their homes, with their families, whenever possible. We are committed to rescuing those pocket pets that are in jeopardy of being euthanized or are in danger of being abused, left unattended or in other types of vulnerable situations. We ensure all animals receive proper veterinary care, medication and special training for any behavioral issues, as well as to arrange safe, temporary homes for these animals until stable forever homes can be found. Our team is made up of enthusiastic volunteers who work passionately to serve the underrepresented and often misunderstood niche of pocket pets in the overall rescue community and general public.
