My name is Axel!

Are you looking for a buddy who loves to fetch, go for walks and sitting at your feet? A dog who doesn't need training? Axel is a healthy 57lb, 5 year old Rott/Lab cross; mostly black but has the rottie brown feet. He is incredibly sweet and loves the things that most labs do, his people, fetching and toys. He is trained in all of the basics including off/on leash walking, loves to swim and fetch for days. Axel is trusted as free roaming in his home, sleeps in a kennel but often chooses to cuddle with his family as he loves to be with them.
Axel's family has older kids, cats and dogs; he has been with them since 6 wks old. Axel has been around many other animals without issue (kennels, other homes, dog parks, etc) but recently Axel has not been getting along with the other dogs in his home and has shown guarding (one person, resources and space). While behaviors are managed, the family is committed to finding a good single dog home for Axel for his comfort and best life.
