Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I'm a strong, independent kitten, though I enjoy bestowing my affection on my humans as long as it's on my terms. My favorite things in life are (in no particular order): naps, playtime, climbing to the absolute highest place I can find, and treats. Speaking of treats, if you want to get on my good side, keep 'em coming. I'm particularly fond of baby food chicken, but honestly I'll take whatever you've got.
Rumor has it that "purrkour" is going to be in the 2028 Olympics, so I'm hoping for humans who will help me train, by playing with me with one of those wand-type dangly toys. That way I can practice my pounces, jumps, flips, and tricks. I truly am a sight to behold. While I hope to compete for the gold in 2028, I'll be content with entertaining my family and friends with my acrobatic skills, and overall silliness. After an intense training or cross training (zoomies) sesh, I'm ready to chill out and snooze in a cozy spot near my human.
I enjoy the company of other cats, and it'd be great to have a feline friend to play and snuggle with when my humans aren't available.

More about this shelter
Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center is an open admissions animal shelter and is home to dozens of animals looking for their forever homes. We are a Municipal pound for Augusta County, Staunton, and Waynesboro so we take in all strays, abandoned animals, and owner surrenders. We have 40 dog runs and about 85 cat cages.
The Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center began operation in September of 2011. Since opening, we have successfully lowered the euthanasia rates for our community! Our shelter's current save rate is 95 percent, which is the direct result of our dedicated staff and volunteers working hard to finding these animals their forever homes. Please call the shelter with any questions regarding animals found on the website for more information.
We offer help to our community through education and assistance. With the help of other organizations we are able to spay/neuter animals in our community that the owners could otherwise not afford. With the help of our community we are on a mission to save every adoptable animal in our area.
