MEET DEIMOS!!

Deimos (aka D) is the sweetest boy! I mean look at that face! D loves car rides, walks and playing at the park on equipment. He is calm in the house until you want to play. Then, he will get zoomies and play all day if you want. He is a very cuddly lovebug and happy to be a big lap dog if you let him. He hardly ever barks, and he does not shed much. He does have allergies and takes prednisone every other day which is not expensive.

Deimos is house trained, crate trained and walks well on a leash. He gets along with kids and all people. He is good with other nonaggressive dogs (with proper introduction of course). He knows basic commands like sit, lay down, got o bed (he likes to be covered), shake and back up. Overall he is a very good boy! Meet D today!

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website: www.underdogaz.com.

We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family.

Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250.

Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200.

We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots.

All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.

Underdog Rescue of Az is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescuing and re-homing of abandoned and/or abused dogs.

We are a foster-based rescue, and do not maintain a physical base of operations. All of our animals are placed with loving, caring safe foster families until they are adopted. We are also an "All Breed" rescue, and do not discriminate based on breed, age, size, etc.

Underdog's mission also includes educating the public on the issue of animal welfare. We strive to promote shelter reform, spay and neuter education and emergency rescue information & assistance.
