Muddy, aka Mud Puppy, is a special kitten with a heartbreaking beginning and has cheated death 3 times! Muddy was found by a good samaritan jogging by in Christiansted USVI who couldn’t leave him behind because Muddy was literally DROWNING in the mud during that tremendous May storm that caused major flooding. We got him to Sugar Mill Veterinary Center to discover that he was not only covered in mud and very sick, but he also had a huge laceration across his chest. After some wonderful medical care from local vets and love from his foster mom, Muddy was scheduled to be neutered and make his adoption debut when he suddenly crashed. X-rays showed that he had severe pneumonia and a slim chance of survival. He was immediately started on IV and oral medications and has defied all odds. Thankfully Muddy is much better and is now a happy, healthy, rambunctious 3-month old kitten! He loves his foster siblings Neptune (his sidekick), Dalsan and Polar. So if you must have 2 kittens, he does have friends that are also available to adopt. Muddy has beautiful yellow eyes, soft white fur with orange tint on his head and tail. Plus the loudest purr machine. He is up to date on vaccines and is combo tested negative, and scheduled to be neutered next week.
