Meet Topper!!
This friendly goof is about year and a half old. We believe he is a Pit Terrier mix of some kind. He currently weighs 49 pounds and is done growing. If anything he will get a bit stockier.
Topper is a very energetic and active boy!! He is looking for a family that can provide him with a lot of daily play time and exercise!!
He is very intelligent and likes toys that challenge his skills!
Topper is a great big lover, when he has decided you're his favorite, he is very loyal to that person and likes to be with them as much as possible!!
He would do best in a home with a big yard for him to run and play!!
He doesn't mind our other dogs here. We have no idea what he thinks about cats.
Topper is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines and on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. His adoption fee is $85.

You can come in anytime we are open to meet all of our adoptable animals.

2.
Submit Application

You can fill out an application our website https://hspets.org/adoption-application/ or in person.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

Once we approve your application, you can take your new family member home the same day you come to the shelter.

Additional adoption info

We require an application, but will do same day adoptions if all the necessary information can be acquired (vet reference, landlord approval). The adoption fee for our dogs is $85, adult cats are $30 and our kittens are $55. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, microchips, age appropriate vaccinations, a negative heartworm test (dogs) or FIV/Feleuk test (cats) and a 2 week health guarantee.

Saturday- 11am-5pm

Sunday- 1pm-5pm

Animals who have special needs/are less adoptable may also be shown by appointment outside of open hours. Offsite events are occasionally held as well.

The Humane Society of Stillwater operates an adoption guaranteed, nonprofit animal shelter that exists on donations from the public. We house dogs and cats until they are adopted into approved homes. We transfer cats and dogs into our shelter from other shelter's euthanasia lists and we keep them until they pick their forever families.
